Brighton Neighbour Feature No. 2
Tell us a bit about yourself and your family.
We are originally from Prince Albert and area but have lived in Saskatoon for quite a few years. My husband’s name is Riley and we have two boys, Layne and Fynn. I am an EAL teacher (English as an Additional Language) in the city. Riley is a pharmacy technician at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. We both love what we do but also love being home with our family. Layne recently started his first year of Ukrainian dancing at Vesnianka. We spend a lot of time walking and park hopping in Brighton! We have recently started running again and love taking all the paths in this neighborhood.
Why did you choose to move to Brighton and what do you like most about living here?
We came here for a movie night in the park a few years ago and loved the family-friendly, community feeling. Brighton seemed like the perfect place to raise our family. The best part of living here is all of the parks and green space nearby.
What do you like the most about the street you live on?
We have great neighbours. We love being able to walk to the park or the marketplace if we feel like it!
What do you love most about your home?
We love the open concept style of our home. Our 3 year old loves that he can run straight through the pantry! Our house was built by North Ridge and they made great use of the space.
What is your kid’s favourite thing about the community?
See previous answer! Layne loves riding his bike on the paths and checking out the geese at the small pond.
