Brighton Neighbour Feature No. 3

Tell us a bit about yourself and your family

I was born and raised in Edmonton, but made Saskatoon home almost 20 years ago. Although I left Edmonton, the Oilers will forever be part of my life. Ryan and I even got engaged at an Oilers game! Our family has a dog and a cat (both named after Oilers players), and I have three amazing kiddos.

Why did you choose to move to Brighton and what do you like most about living here?

When we walked into the Daytona show home, we instantly knew that was going to be our home and didn’t even continue looking for anything else. The staff at Daytona were so wonderful to work with, and have been great to us the last two years. Brighton is such an amazing community. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and it has its own small town feel. We love that we can go for a walk or bike ride and hit up multiple parks, and all the work that is being done in Core Park is so beautiful. The kids absolutely love it here too – there is always a new friend to play with at the park. Even the Brighton Facebook page is so helpful with people offering to shovel each other’s driveways, and do other neighbourly things for each other.

What do you like the most about the street you live on?

We love our neighbours! People are always outside sitting on the deck or doing yard work, and you get to know everyone so fast.

What do you love most about your home?

We’ve had so many memories here the last two years, and love the cozy feeling our house has. There’s lots of natural light, and we love finally having our first finished basement!

What do your kids love most about the community?

All of the friends that they’ve made and fun they have every time we go out for a walk or trip to the park.

What is something unique or something special about your family?

I have an Event Planning business, as well as a Non Profit that was founded for families who have small children facing big battles.
